What do we mean
when we speak about stability? |
|
|
First of all we mean static stability.
Static stability plays a role when your patient is sitting
or lying on the couch. In these situations the load on the
couch is constant. |
|
|
Secondly, and more importantly,
we mean dynamic stability. Dynamic stability plays a
role when your patient is getting on or off the couch, or when
your patient is performing exercises. It is most important that
the couch should not slide, tip or wobble at these critical
moments. |
|
|
A completely adjustable treatment
couch springs down to a certain extent when you exert sudden
downward pressure on the surface. However, too much downward
movement wastes effort and can result in unwanted movements
and effects leading to tiredness and a less than optimum treatment
session for both you and your patient. The stability profile
of our couches is such that this 'spring down effect' is reduced
to a minimum ensuring that you are able to offer your patients
effective treatment. |
|
|
Measuring Dynamic Stability. |
|
|
To quantify dynamic stability two factors
are important.
- the reactive movement that the couch
makes in response to the dynamic force that is exerted (during
a manipulation for example).
- the reaction time the couch needs
to correct the reactive movement.
|
|
|
The smaller the reactive movement and the
faster the reaction time, the better the dynamic stability.
|
|
|
What is the secret of the Stability Profile exhibited by our
couches? |
|
|
Decades of experience in the development and
production of treatment couches, combined with technological
advances and close collaboration with practitioners has resulted
in a 20% increase in stability when our couches are compared
to those of our competitor. With the aid of 3D-CAD software
the frame and cushions on our couches provide the stability
you need to offer your patients effective treatment.
A modified positioning of the pneumatic springs
and motors and the very latest in advanced production techniques
guarantee that we can offer a high precision, high quality
treatment couch.

What does the Stability Profile of our couches mean for you
and your patient? |
|
|
A stable treatment couch means that you can
have confidence in your couch. No matter how variable the
load on your couch, you can continue with treatment, secure
in the knowledge that your couch will remain stable.
This means that you can concentrate on the
treatment without having to worry about the ability of your
couch to cope with the demands you place on it. Being able
to devote all your attention on the treatment means that you
use less energy to achieve the desired effect and that you
can localise your treatment optimally.
For your patient, the stability of our couches
means ensures that they can perform exercises in the way that
you desire. They can perform exercises in a relaxed environment,
confident that the couch will provide support, even during
the most difficult exercises.
In short, the stability profile of our
couches guarantees a stable treatment couch in your practice. |
